The CFC Grading System – Milestones Instead of Fights
Why we test instead of fight: the CFC grading system with A, B and C classes (four degrees each) makes your progress in Wing Chun & FMA visible.
Why Gradings Instead of Competitions
At CFC in Villach, there are deliberately no competitions and no sporting matches, because pure self-defense prepares you for real emergencies. To keep your progress visible and tangible nonetheless, gradings serve as a clear milestone with us. An examination is not a fight against others, but an honest proof of your own ability and personal development.
This gives your training a clear thread: you always know where you stand, what you already master and which goal lies ahead of you next. This structure replaces competitive pressure with healthy, sustainable motivation – you do not measure yourself against an opponent, but against your own best performance.
The System: A, B and C Classes With Four Degrees Each
Our grading system is divided into A, B and C classes, each with four degrees. Every degree builds logically on the previous one and deepens the principles of Wing Chun and FMA step by step. This creates a clearly comprehensible path from the first degree to advanced mastery, without any content being skipped or taught superficially.
For each degree, you should plan on roughly six months of solid training on average. This duration is chosen deliberately: it gives you enough time to truly internalize techniques instead of merely recalling them briefly. Each stage concludes with an examination in which you demonstrate that the content is firmly established and can be recalled under light pressure.
